The Cardigans: Gran Turismo Concert, Jakarta, 14 Aug 2012
Well to tell the truth I wasn’t expecting it to be a full Gran Turismo affair. Only after 5 songs in I figured it out “wait they’re gonna play the whole album aren’t they..”
Although I wasn’t a big fan of that album, they completely made it up for me on the second part of the show. Truth is I’d pay full price just to see them play their first song, “For What It’s Worth.”
They plowed through with selections off Long Gone Before Daylight and Super Extra Gravity (even “Hold Me”, a b-side!). And though I really didn’t need to hear “Love Fool” and “Rise and Shine”, they were total crowd-pleasers.
And they closed it off with “Communication.” Total. Perfection.
